Music Video Camp June 5th-9th Ages 7 - 12

CDP hip hop instructor Desiree LaNiece will be hosting the 4th annual Music Video Camp from June 5th to June 9th for dancers ages 7-12.

Camp hours are from 9:00am to 3:00pm for June 5th - 8th (Mon. - Thur.). Video shoot will be held on June 9th (Friday). Participants must have some form of studio dance/cheer experience to register. Dancers are to bring lunch each day.

Camp consists of:

• Dancers learning a full routine that will be practiced and polished every day of camp
• Fun arts and crafts activities
• Teamwork bonding exercises/games
• Performance of routine for video shoot at a special/surprise venue on the last day of camp (June 9th)

About Instructor:

Desiree LaNiece is our primary hip hop and progressions instructor at the Cypress Dance Project. She has been teaching at the studio since the beginning of the program. Desiree was a captain for her high school drill team at Eisenhower High School and later became an NBA dancer for the Houston Rockets two weeks after high school graduation where she spent 3 seasons dancing professionally. Desiree has spent her years touring and back up dancing for music artist while choreographing for numerous high school drill teams in the Houston and surrounding areas. Desiree is also a web/graphic designer, photographer and videographer and her specialty is in video editing. Desiree also has a bachelor's in kinesiology and is currently in the master's program for business administration at Prairie View A&M University. Desiree is responsible for choreographing our hip hop routines that the CDP company performs throughout the competition season. We are happy to host another fun and exciting music video camp with Desiree and cannot wait to see the production!
